  1. ZCatalog - Status: Control advanced Catalog features

  3.     Description

  5.         This view allows you to control advanced catalog features. 
  6.                 
  7.         Subtransactions reduce the memory requirements of ZCatalog, but at
  8.         the expense of speed. If you choose to enable subtransactions, you can adjust
  9.         how often ZCatalog commits a subtransactions by adjusting the threshold. The
  10.         index status reports how many objects are cataloged in each index.

  12.     Controls

  14.         'Enable/Disable' -- If enables, the Subtransaction system is enabled and the threshold
  15.         specified below is used.
  16.         
  17.         'Subtransaction Threshold' -- Allows you to specify how often the ZCatalog will commit the 
  18.         subtransactions. The default value is 10000.
  19.         
  20.         'Change' -- Clicked, Zope will update the subtransaction threshold.
  21.         
  22.         'Index Status' List -- Each line corresponds to one Index. The line indicates how 
  23.         many objects are cataloged for each Index.
